Islander

Margaritaville At Sea Islander is a Sprit Class cruise ship formally owned by Carnival Corporation. It was built in 2000 by Kvaerner Masa-Yards in Helsinki, Finland as the Costa Atlantica. Margaritaville purchased this ship in October 2023. Beginning in January 2023 the ship began a 4 month refresh at the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast. Debuting in June 2024 the Islander is the second ship in the fleet. Weighing 85,619 tons, the Islander has a crew size of 897 and a total of 2,114 passengers. The Islander features a 14 story tropical atrium, a three story LandShark Bar, 1 Waterslide, 2 pools, 5 complimentary restaurants, 5 specialty dining options, and 13 bars. Sailing from Tampa Bay to Key West, Mexico and the Caribbean, the Islander offers 4-10 night cruise itineraries. I personally went on the inaugural 4 night sailing June 2024 to Cozumel, Mexico.

For my first ever adventure with Margaritaville At Sea, it did not disappoint. They have a few things to work on but for the inaugural sailing they did everything to accommodate and take care of the customers needs. The food was enjoyable throughout the cruise minus the buffet. Customer service and room attendants were very helpful in a timely manner. Specialty dining, bars, and entertainment/ activities all were excellent. Looking forward to another trip with Margaritaville. On this ship or perhaps maybe the next ship they decide to bring into the fleet.
